Paul
Paul is a 2000 graduate from Concordia University in River Forest, IL with degrees in computer science and communication. After graduation he took a job with a small software company in southern California where he worked in the area of technical support. After 2 ½ years he was ready for a change and took a job at his alma mater. Here he was in charge of desktop support for faculty, staff and students. He remained in this position at Concordia until July 2005 when we started the process of becoming LBT missionaries.
Even though he spends most of his time working on the computer, in his spare time he also enjoys playing computer games. He really enjoys strategy based games and so if anyone wants to play a game of “Risk,” Paul will gladly join you. Another one of his hobbies is working with sound equipment. He is grateful for the opportunities that he has had to run the sound board and update equipment for the worship teams at two of the churches that we have attended.
Paul comes from a family of missionaries. His mother and all three siblings are involved in bringing the gospel to people around the world. To learn more about his family, check out the Federwitz homepage.
Ali
Ali also graduated from Concordia University in River Forest, IL with the class of 2000. She has a degree in Elementary Education which led her to teach fifth grade while in Southern California. When we moved back to Illinois, Ali then taught a 3rd and 4th grade combined class. She has always wanted to be a teacher and even stated so at the age of 3.
In her free time, Ali enjoys a lot of craft related activities. She loves to scrapbook, decorate cakes, sew and knit although she is still learning how to master the latter two activities. She also loves any opportunity to exercise her passion for interior decorating. Ali has also been able to sing with the worship teams at the churches that we have attended and this is something she truly enjoys.
Hannah
Hannah Elizabeth was born on March 22, 2006 in Akron, Ohio. She weighed 7 lb. 8 oz. and measured 20 1/2".
She is really a very good baby. We have been on the road since she was 7 weeks old. We are sure that she thinks every baby travels thousands of miles and sees new people everyday! She is a champion drooler and loves to roll around. Hannah also loves to smile and it sure warms our hearts when she does.
